A Toolkit for the creation of mappings between EBA's data dictionary and BIRD's data dictionary
As an extension in BIRDBench, we are building a toolkit for semantic integration between the BIRD data dictionary and the EBA data dictionary.
This enables us to generate BIRD “Output Layers” (the target of BIRD transformations), described in the BIRD dictionary, directly from detailed requirements published in EBA annotated templates.
Because the enriched BIRD input layers and these output layers use the same integrated dictionary, we can automate transformation creation through a structured gap-analysis process.
In short: once semantic integration is in place, most of the transformation logic can be generated automatically.
These detailed semantic integrations are also useful for ongoing work to describe and align a common data dictionary across EBA and ECB regulations.
