Bird Software Solutions is the main contributer to the open source project Eclipse Free BIRD Tools. The project is governed by the Eclipse Foundation in a transparent , vendor nuetral fashion.
BIRD Software solutions uses Eclipse Free BIRD Tools to create a working reference implementation of BIRD that can be used to test BIRD and provide feedback to the BIRD project.
A technology neutral version called FreeBIRD is described in the RegDNA open source standard.
From FreeBIRD we generate a version with executable transformations at FreeBIRDExecutable .
This reference implementation is maintained using the ‘FlyWheel Methodogy’ below, which allows rapid progress without blockers.
